Tony Scibella signed my copy of his last poetry book,
I’m Afraid There Will Be No Parade for Us, with that statement. -----Thanks, Tony, you said it all.

The Tribute to Tony Scibella was held at Beyond Baroque on October 28th, exactly four years from the day he died. It was emotional for those of us who have priceless memories of him. The event was a wonderful celebration of Tony’s life and work. His influence and legacy remain.

Poems by Tony Scibella -

a pal

makes u feel special
in a very special way
& that’s gd
that they
care enuf
to take u
further than
u might be
going yrself
alone

peddle
as quick as
yr allowed by
self & sanity
for it is a mad
quest
            this poet gig
ridiculous if u choose it
doomed if u don’t

Sometimes life
is like waiting
on a lonely platform
looking up the track
for the train
to take it u anywhere
